No matter what you think about crypto, Sam Bankman-Fried getting rich so he can do as much good in the world as possible is a pretty great outcome. It's funny how he started the arbitraging Bitcoin to Japan by just seeing different prices at different markets. I've seen that too but I always just assumed there was a good reason and if not, someone smarter than me would already be taking advantage of the arbitrage opportunity. He just went for it and made a fortune.
