Oft Forgotten but Critical Elements of Ukrainian Resistance
- nonrandomstring 5y agoVery cogent read. This is where the rubber really hits the road in this kind of conflict - sustainable support for resistance. Technologically it's where all the things we talk about here as desirable features of "people's tech" come alive: Printers that work without internet connections. Ad-hoc meshnets, data dead-drops and sneakernets. Serviceable gear like repairable phones, cameras, scanners, dot matrix printers. Self-hosted, multi-homed, wind and solar powered servers. Good battery technology. Effective civilian encryption. Tor. SDR radio transceivers.
