The implication here is that there is always an alternative to medicating pain with drugs. There often isn't - other than letting the patient be in horrible pain forever. I'd argue that this is true for many kinds of clinical anxiety, too.
- basisword 5y agoGood point, I shouldn't make assumptions. However I think that making these options so easy (via an app) will have a net negative effect on society.
- NoraCodes 5y agoI don't know that it would be so easy, tbh! Using this effectively would require that your friends be bought in, and would be willing to use the app. That in and of itself would likely require some difficult conversations.
