- jstx1 5y agoIt's quite decent on image recognition tasks and playing games.
- oceanghost 5y agoI agree actually, but the specification was "solved". I don't think AI has solved anything. It might be good at a couple things, but that's not what was asked.
- eimrine 5y ago> a list of problems AI has solved Youtube video recommender (maybe some other recommenders also like tiktok, fb, you know what I mean). Outplaying human in Chess and in Go and who knows in what else. Generating useless human-lime wordings via GPT-3 and recognizing voice commands for. Some help for doctors like cancer recognizing and for chemical engineers like finding some new designer drugs. Workplace supply for programmers who don't want to code. Bothering humans with realistic voice bots (phone spam) and with private data analyzers (palantir). Unoffableness as in cryptocurrencies (required for Skynet).
- oceanghost 5y agoI can't think of a single thing on this list that is "solved." Your first example (FB/YT recommendations) is literally tearing our society to bits at the moment.
- eimrine 5y agoSo you believe cryptocurrencies are offable?
- oceanghost 5y agoNeither google search nor duckduckgo can offer a definition of "offable". Perhaps you can enlighten me and I can attempt to answer your question.
- eimrine 5y agoUnable to turn off (sorry for my bad English, it is not my mother language). If AI can be shut down by any set of humans then it is just a property, not a citizen.
- 0des 5y agoThe characteristic of being unable to be deactivated. Google has an interest in you not knowing this term, like asking about jury nullification during jury duty.
