What I am surprised is marodierism. It is well known that Ukraine is economically much poorer than Russia. Why would Russian troops be so interested in collecting old washing machines and computers from Ukrainian flats and make all the effort to transport them back to Russia? Maybe we are overestimating Russia's economy too. Apart from main cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg, it must be really poor.
- eimrine 5y agoI think it is a question of individual's morale, not a question of your country's economic. Wouldn't you grab someone's property if you have alredy became a part of a gang destroying and murdering so-called enemies?
- NoPie 5y agoI would not. It just prevents me in achieving my objectives.
- emteycz 5y agoYeah about these "well known" things regarding Russia... We must re-evaluate everything. And you're right - I visited Russia few years ago. Outside of Moscow, many homes I visited did not have running water. Moscow has its own share of poorness too - there's few super-rich and then millions of super-poor people living next to each other.
- nikbackm 5y agoMost of the Russian soldiers are relatively poor compared to other Russians. Otherwise they would not be in the army.
