The Great Resignation Didn’t Start with the Pandemic
- jleyank 5y agoOthers have said, and it’s a good point, that covid and wfh broke people’s habits and enforced time to stop and think. This nudge allowed all those thinking of pulling the plug to consider it. All those dissatisfied with their current situation to determine what to do next. There wasn’t enough “sameness” to keep doing the same thing for people. Whether this was moving or changing jobs or changing relationships or … being unable to keep doing X and having to do Y (or even Y and Z) provided perspective on X. Thus, we can argue that the pandemic was the final trigger not the first one.
