To add on further injury, all the feigned niceties and politeness go out the window once you actually start working together. Then all the unconscious biases are on display.
Good luck talking about this because none of your coworkers are racist - they all took diversity training.

- ellopoppit 5y agoAfter recently making it through 2/3 interview sessions for a very niche technical role, I was told I was exactly what they were looking for, but that I wouldn't be allowed to proceed to the final round interview with the manager until they had found a "diverse" candidate to interview... ended up accepting an offer from another company 2 weeks later
