There is so much wealth and power inequality in the world, why would there not be active conspiracies by the rich and powerful? They are confirmed every now and then.
The elites vilify and ridicule conspiracy theories precisely because some of them are or will be true. In a healthy world, they would be welcomed.

- ahartmetz 5y agoMost conspiracy theories are too vulnerable to the usual screwups that happen in the real world (a large group needs to keep a secret for a long time), others are too obviously contradicted by things that we really know to be true. The few where that isn't so are worth consideration.
- peteradio 5y ago"It's too hard to keep it under wraps therefore it doesn't seem likely" seems kind of ridiculous in the face of all that man has accomplished.
