Unfortunately, looks like it got closed. We’ll just have to wait until next year. I do love the little sarcastic nod to “Basic” and “Full” telemetry modes.

Before people go nuts, Aprils Fools.
  • omoikane 5y ago
I remember the days when features and jokes and joke features could be done without namedropping companies.

Would you rather use Microsoft's or Apple's free telemetry endpoints?
    • hericium 5y ago
Ah yes, haven't played XBill for a while.
  • peakaboo 5y ago
Actually a very good one. :)

FFS, enough with the April Fools nonsense already. Back when Slashdot was relevant I used to stop reading it on 1/2 April due to the low signal to noise. Please downvote April Fools posts so that we're not wasting time reading garbage.

You must be fun at parties.
  • sys_64738 5y ago
Agreed. The whole concept is tiring and boring to boot.

It's good to pause and make fun of all our seriousness at least once a year. None of us get out of this alive, ya know?

Even as an Aprils fool joke, it's of incredibly poor taste. User trust is a invaluable asset that projects like Neovim has, and it's unwise to drop all of that with deceitful and inflammatory language. Had the author consulted with others before opening this PR?
