- muh_gradle 5y agoA typical go-to response is Kleppmann's Designing Data-Intensive Applications. I think Alex Xu's System Design Interview is a good primer to get familiar with the realm of topics.

- cpach 5y agoIn my book, this is not really an answer. What constitutes common sense in system design…? An answer to that could definitely be relevant to this question. But it needs more “meat” to be useful.
- b20000 5y agowhat i mean is that if you have any actual experience building software you don’t need to prepare for the system design interview as you will be able to suggest various good designs for hypothetical systems.
