- justbrowsingthx 5y agoThis command should enable the same behavior with ctrl+cmd+click/drag: defaults write -g NSWindowShouldDragOnGesture -bool yes

- reaperducer 5y agoIs there a macOS equivalent to Alt+Click/drag in X? You might get more responses if you tell people what behavior you expect from Alt+Click/drag. If you're trying to copy something (often a file, but many other things), you can Option+Click+drag. If you want to click on something, then drag it after releasing the click, that's available in the Accessibility settings.
- ISL 5y agoLooks like my question was answered in a sibling thread. The behavior of Alt+Click/drag is to allow you to click on any part of a window and move the window. It is extremely useful not just from time-savings (no need to click on the top bar to reposition a window), but also to be able to grab windows that are positioned off-screen or beneath another window and move it with a single operation.
