It's ""fun"", because there is definitely a CEC command for TV to know AVR's current volume. But I can't blame TV manufacturer for not implementing it: When sending vol+/vol- commands, you're already stretching the CEC bus pretty thin, you can't afford to spam the bus more with more commands...
