I'm not trying to detract from modern-day AI ethics issues, just speculating for speculation's sake because I enjoy it :) I actually quite agree with your first sentence -- because AGI is inevitable, there's not a whole lot I can personally do about it right now. This post was mostly a way for me to organize my thoughts and concerns about the matter.
