It's a bar.
Not all companies have or need a lot of meetings, but maybe it's more relevant to your line of work.
I'm sure there's great variation in tech, too. I was a web dev and one company met every day, one met every couple of weeks. Both functioned well.
- muzani 5y agoHow do you define a meeting? Would a conversation between two work people count, because that's the usual definition. Normally when you cut off a block of synchronous communication time, it just ends up as a trickle of questions coming in all day with the answers coming in a few hours later.
- mod 5y agoI do not think a conversation between two work people count, no. Not at a bar, for sure. There's constant communication between work people. A meeting is when I get everyone together to go over big-picture type things. Making plans, changing menus, correcting problems, assigning tasks, positive feedback, training for new systems.
