I enjoyed the post as there are invariably problems; seniority is learning how to solve more of it. Soft skills side becomes more important the higher you go and the bigger things get. The article is just one of many ways to manage up -- in this case, excitement. You can always leave, but that's the difference between consultants and leaders. That's totally fine, but should at least be aware the tradeoff is being made. Being able to manage & lead isn't easy!
