I noticed a huge decline in friends posting in late 2021. I got a new phone and didn't install the app. I have to go on FB every once in a while because an older app I run has a facebook page, and people sometimes contact me through that. But I just respond to send me an email. When I do look at my feed, much like you, it's no longer my friends posting. The rate of decline could be as strong as facebook's rate of growth back in the day. The less people are engaged, the less people will come back, which leads to a cycle.
