You cannot "offset carbon" by just planting trees.
You also need to wait until they grow, chop them down, and not burn them but burry them underground instead.

- tomp 5y agoBut what happens to the wood you use? e.g. in buildings (1) building burns (2) building is torn down and wood rots (3) building eventually collapses and wood rots i.e. if you don't bury it, it eventually returns into the carbon cycle
