How did a hacker steal over $600M from a crypto gaming blockchain?
- eternityforest 5y agoPretty much nothing is totally hack proof while preserving any reasonable level of convenience. I'd trust fiat's security any day over crypto. If a bank has horrible security, it's mostly their problem, if a crypto based system has horrible security, it's everyone's problem.
- puffoflogic 5y agoHonest question: do people really not believe/understand this is just a rug pull?
- j_walter 5y agoI would say the biggest reason is that not all of the nodes were compromised. It would have been much easier to just have access to all the validator nodes, but they only gained access to 4 of them and needed to exploit an old and unused RPC to get the 5th signature. This is likely an inside job for sure...but not a rug pull.
