This is the same as my office in London. There's little point going in, and when I have done, my experience is the same as this article - waste 90mins in each direction getting in, to sit on my own, and reply via email + Teams. But, well, "collaboration". I'm sure it's time and cost effective for senior management that are paid $$$$ and only have a really short commute from the office. But not for the other 99% of the workforce.
