Math Poetry (2015)
- lvncelot 5y agoReminds me of a math limerick: (12 + 144 + 20 + 3*sqrt(4))/7 + 5*11 = 9^2 + 0 A dozen, a gross and a score Plus three times the square root of four Divided by seven Plus five times eleven Is nine squared and not a bit more
- jIyajbe 5y agoBeat me to it! I have no memory of where I first heard it, but it was in my far-away long-lost youth. Despite that, I have never forgotten it, nor lost the ability to call it up instantly from my memory (unlike, for example, my wife's birthday.) it was apparently written by someone named Leigh Mercer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leigh_Mercer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leigh_Mercer). (Just kidding, honey!)
- laszlokorte 5y agoFunny, just two weeks ago I wrote this [1] just for fun (in german) and was wondering if there were other math songs/poems out there. [1]: https://static.laszlokorte.de/infinite-impulse-rhapsodie/ https://static.laszlokorte.de/infinite-impulse-rhapsodie/
