- throwawaygh 5y agoyou're being downvoted for the second sentence, but the third sentence is indisputably true.
- zamfi 5y agoDepends what you mean by “glut” — if you mean the welfare rolls are full of English PhDs, or the ranks of middle management are gummed up with French Literature PhDs, or the arms of government administration are overrun by political science PhDs, then sure. If you mean most PhDs don’t get faculty jobs, well, then we have a glut of basketball, football, and baseball players too.
