I'm not going to lie -- I was forced to use Zulip because the Redhatters on the Quarkus team use it for their community chat. At first I thought it was terrible, but after a while it grew on me. The thread-first design makes it a lot easier to navigate, and you can optionally choose the "standard" chat view where all the threads + replies are lumped together in a channel's stream. Great product, thanks for all the hard work =)
