That's nice on the surface but the whole "don't create clean alternatives in the short term, instead influence city planning that will take multiple decades to bare any fruit if at all" is worse in my opinion. You're also asserting that everyone should live the same when the the reality is that we're all different and want/need different things. A lawns are largely a waste but yards, gardens, and green spaces are very important and in many ways culturally ingrained in people. Telling people to live in shipping container sized spaces a short walk from their job is delusional at best.
