Even in Canada, we did this when I was in high school 7 years ago. How to hide, barricade doors, refuse to open the door after it is closed no matter who is outside as they might be a hostage, etc.
- chrisseaton 5y ago> refuse to open the door after it is closed no matter who is outside as they might be a hostage So how do you end this after a shooting scare is over?
- MattGaiser 5y agoSomeone with a master key must come along.
- eatonphil 5y agoHow do you know someone didn't steal the master key?
- MattGaiser 5y agoYou don't. The assumption is that the shooter will run out of time figuring that all out before the cops arrive. But it certainly is a risk.
- Arrath 5y agoUsually Police officers come through with a school administrator or maintenance worker and unlock the doors and give the all clear classroom by classroom.
