- klodolph 5y agoIt’s a mistake to think of it as an emotional response. I looked at Mike Solana’s timeline. He’s got nearly 100k followers and tweets about topics like the RNC, mask mandates, NFTs, international politics, housing, and religion. You can bet your ass his tweets attract a ton of weirdos in the replies. I’m guessing he takes five seconds to figure out whether or not to block you, because he has to make these decisions multiple times each day, and he has better things to do. It does feel like a big deal the first time you block someone. I remember the first time I blocked someone on Twitter. I was so sick of seeing their tweets in my feed. After I blocked them, I just kinda forgot about them, and my brain is free to do other stuff. Blocking is not a big deal.
