I've never used it, but I guarantee that Proxmox can pass through PCIe devices with VFIO, and USB requires no hardware support at all. vmkernel hardware passth

I've never used it, but I guarantee that Proxmox can pass through PCIe devices with VFIO, and USB requires no hardware support at all.
vmkernel hardware passthrough has exactly the same requirements (IOMMU support).
- buildbuildbuild 5y agoMy statement was vague, apologies. I meant client-side pass through of devices. (such as plugging a USB device into your client, and the remote VM believing it is local) SPICE on Proxmox may support this but I find it incredibly clumsy to configure.
