1) Have you ever met a good economist?
2) Is it possible you think he is a poor economist because he deeply understood it from the outside and you are still too "in it" to see? That is not a criticism, it is a question.
- I-M-S 5y agoI am deeply convinced economists fulfill the same function in our society that priests did in earlier ages - they flatter and influence the powerful, and avert people's attention from obvious injustices by packaging their hardship into some grander narrative.
