- PaulHoule 5y agoHow is it being a Republican means you have to hate electric cars? Have you ever driven one? Nothing good comes out of coddling those people. To appease people who hated compact fluorescents out of ideology they had legislation to promote advanced incadescents, some of which give very high quality light (there are some that have a halogen bulb inside an ordinary light bulb and the color rendition is magnifique.) The haters couldn’t even be bothered to try them. Now those CFLs really did suck, but thanks to Cree we have affordable LEDs that are pretty good unless you want to make fine sensory distinctions.
