Tell HN: If I could chose one new Firefox feature, it would be this
"Oops, your tab just crashed" -> "Reload" -> "Just ooone more thing before we start" -> "Restart firefox"
At that point, I don't care about the severity of the bugs fixed, I just want to continue my browsing session, i LITERALLY just want to read what's in that one tab, but no.. that's the point, always this point, where I am in a flow, and context matters, that my beloved browser will chose to tear me out of it.. Sometimes, I'll just simply stop opening new tabs for a while, while reading what's on the ones already open..
Come one mozilla! Stop playing around with burger menus and skins and make an actually useful change for once! Make firefox politely notify me that an update is available and will be in effect next time I restart the browser, POLITELY! and then continue functioning.

- scim-knox-twox 5y agoIt's even worse if you have opened tabs in private mode...

- TowerTall 5y agoI would choose this. Support touchscreen swiping for back/forward navigation on a Windows Laptop. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1443710 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1443710 It's the only thing that prevents me from switching to Firefox. It also prevents the millions of other people that has a 2-1 laptop from switching. It should be in the top of Mozilla list of priorities especially when user numbers are declining. Why lock out millions potential users? The bug report is 4 years old.
