When using their thumb to press, how often are right handed people using their right hand versus their left hand to hold the phone? I'm right handed and almost always am using my right hand, but the image in the article looks like the left hand is the common case. Anyway, if the right hand is the common case then the Galaxy is actually the ergonomically superior format because you have to ask yourself, what is most commonly in the furthest position that you would be pressing with your thumb? The back button. Yet on the Galaxy, with it's dedicated button, it's well within reach.
