I spent a decade writing PHP. I think the language is fine, but the lack of a real concurrency model (event loop or threads) pushed me to other languages for web dev.
- gremlinsinc 5y agoSwoole a php extension has solved this mostly, and has coroutines like golang.
- PetahNZ 5y agoAnything that can be run concurrently, we just push off onto worker queues.
