I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Being in that position sucks. I'm always an advocate that you reward people accordingly for what they have done; particularly the early employees who were there from the beginning. If it's possible, could you elaborate more? I.e. was your shares were diluted to nearly nothing, preferred/common stock, VCs screwed the whole company, etc. I'm sure the HN community will be interested to learn from this and take measures so that it doesn't happen to us in the future.
