I have been drinking raw milk from one of these machines[1] and various grey market sources for years, routinely order steak tartare or make it at home, almost always with a raw egg yolk, not to mention raw fish, and never had an issue.
There is a risk to everything but I've noticed online that Americans tend to focus on food safety a lot, keep their eggs in the coolers, freeze, pasteurize, and homogenize everything while eating a diet of reheated garbage and breaking new grounds in obesity. The systemic risk from being overweight, type 2 diabetes, and eating quarter of your calories in HFCS is much higher than acute risk of eating untreated food. And it's usually hard to miss that the milk tastes off anyway.

If you wash an egg (because it has feathers or looks a little "dirty") you remove a sort of protective membrane[0] on the shell's surface which leaves it open to infection. To prevent this you need to refridgerate the eggs. That said, we do refridgerate eggs in the EU. Every supermarket I've seen in UK and Czech Republic does this, and everyone I know puts their eggs in the fridge when they take them home. It may not be necessary, but we do it nonetheless. - akvadrako 5y agoThe eggs are not refrigerated in every country's supermarkets. Here is The Netherlands they sit on the shelf.
- Dyac 5y agoSame in the UK - I've never seen eggs in the fridge at the supermarket.
- tpxl 5y agoWhere I'm from, eggs are not refrigerated in stores. We do mostly keep them in fridges, except if you get a lot, you put some in the fridge and the rest in the pantry. There is a problem if you store them in the fridge, then put them out, since the condensation may damage the protective membrane. Reminder that chicks take 21 days to hatch, so a (healthy unfertilized) egg is still safe to eat after 3 weeks in the cupboard.

The tend to sit in the dry goods aisle near the flour and baking products. https://www.google.com/search?q=uk+egg+supermarket+shelf+-easter&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwiO-bq1tuP2AhUW8xoKHfP3DGEQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=uk+egg+supermarket+shelf+-easter&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQA1DnI1j0NGDFPGgAcAB4AYAB9gGIAfcGkgEFMy4zLjGYAQCgAQGqAQtnd3Mtd2l6LWltZ8ABAQ&sclient=img&ei=sNc-Yo7hNZbma_Pvs4gG https://www.google.com/search?q=uk+egg+supermarket+shelf+-ea...
- panick21_ 5y agoEggs are not refrigerated in Switzerland in stores. I do put my eggs into the fridge but mostly because I don't have much space for them and there is egg store thing int the fridge.
- jadyoyster 5y agoAre you sure that is raw milk in the machines? In my country "fresh milk" is pasteurized. Note that pasteurized milk tastes better than sterilized milk and still needs to be refrigerated.
