I really wish that Apple was able to find some resolution to the macOS/GPLv3 problem. As developers, of course we all use Homebrew or MacPorts and whatnot, but there's no way that the increasing divergence from the standard Linux shell experience is a good thing for beginners.

> resolution to the GPLv3 problem Just comply with it? Allow people to damn modify the software on the machines they bought? This is not about forcing Apple to release sources or whatever, it's about giving people the tools to fully use the hardware they paid money for.
