The Myth That Most Americans Hate Their Job
- jleyank 5y agoLessee. 1/3 of my time sleeping, 1/3 working and 1/3 doing what I want to do because I have been successfully sleeping and working. So yeah, I can easily see that 50.1% of any (large) group of people dislike their job. Especially if the ability to do "the final third" makes "the middle third" consume sleeping time. Assuming you are not working to live and thus have some choice - work has to be interesting enough to get up and do it tomorrow. In some cases and for some length of time I have found work quite interesting. But most of it is rather repetitive and mundane compared to hobby and vacation activities. That's why it's called work :-).
