Apple Pays Another Round of Rare $200k Bonuses to Some Staff

- htrp 5y agoAlways curious to see how many people end up with these types of bonuses..... if n<1000, n<100, or n<10?
- datavirtue 5y agoAnyone who would throw this much around would surely pay more. This is a signal to me that everyone there is getting a bad deal. I think they should unionize and get what they are really worth.

- gutitout 5y agoThis logic if flawed. I think your basic understanding of how retention, businesses and unions work is lacking, to say the least. Mostly likely during this job market, apple identified key employees who are already well paid and made sure to keep them, by granting stock that vests over (4?) years.
- rusticpenn 5y agoUnions are no magic bullet. Germany with strong unions has the lowest pay for software engineers in developed world.
