- jandrewrogers 5y agoIt was a few meters in size, so minimal risk to the Earth.
- jablongo 5y agoIf that's true then why is this interesting at all? Is that 3 meters across at impact or before entering the atmosphere?

- TedDoesntTalk 5y ago> If that's true then why is this interesting at all? Click bait?
- mhh__ 5y agoA real mantra of HN. Everything is clickbait once you know the details.
- gmuslera 5y ago3.3 feet, around 1 meter. Yes, it would had burned up.
- moron4hire 5y ago"It appears to be about the size of a refrigerator" https://www.cnet.com/science/space/speeding-asteroid-spotted-flying-closer-to-earth-than-gps-satellites/ https://www.cnet.com/science/space/speeding-asteroid-spotted... Yeah, my understanding was that this size of asteroid was nearly impossible to detect under even ideal conditions, anyway.
