What MacOS version? I might have made a mistake by upgrading
- MockObject 5y agoIt's running El Capitan. I also have a 16G 2015 MBP running Monterey and IntelliJ with no problem at all though.
- digisign 5y agoOn Big Sur at least there are dozens of daemons running that can't be turned off due to the read-only system partition. I'd check those and third-party software that could be sapping performance. Gets more important with older hardware.
