  Looks like I fired off a bit too hard as I saw peer to peer and... That means something specific. Sorry about that. There's far too much 'zero knowledge encryption' on the internet, eurgh. Seems WhatsApp does use noise pipes for some some long running connections. Just checked their doc to be sure.
