If you just stop assuming anything it works pretty well. High grade pricey cables or TB cables with PD in the backpack, always. That's half the problem. The fact that I can charge 90% of the devices in my house with my PD charger is worth any ambiguity in other features. But I do seem to have an issue with dirt getting into ports and some low grade cables seemingly being out-of-spec when it comes to the physical connection. They don't feel properly seated and jiggle. Not a great feeling.
