Yes, mostly. It has a lot of shell built-ins and a plugin interface so you don't need to manually parse everything, though. I think it really clicked for me when i read somewhere in an example `ls | sort-by size` and `ls | where size > 100mb`. They are both simple operations that i cannot accomplish from memory using standard POSIX tools, yet one year later i can remember the nushell example very well.
