- OkayPhysicist 5y agoThat kinda pushes you into the absurdity of the situation, actually. What is ownership, if not control? To own something is to control it, and to control something is to own it. Possession, control, and power are much more fundamental concepts than an illusiory idea of ownership sold to you by the finance industry.
- throwawaylinux 5y agoI think you're overthinking it. The concepts of ownership and control are pretty well separated. It happens all the time. In leasing, for example, or silent partnership agreements. There's nothing illusory about it, the definitions about what you can do with Facebook voting and non-voting shares would be quite rigorously defined.
