No.
- jka 5y agoOk, thanks. Is there a threshold of number of private companies holding your health records that you would change your mind at?
- DamnYuppie 5y agoNope. It would definitely make me want to donate money for new legislation that would greatly reduce their access to my data.
- jka 5y agoPersonal data minimism is and has been a successful strategy for pioneers and the socially mobile, I think. What I wonder about is whether, on aggregate, the claims that widely available healthcare data can lead to improved state-wide health outcomes are valid (I think they are). These two paths seem to involve some level of friction or cognitive dissonance and that's what I'm trying to narrow down on.
- tormock 5y agoI really hate the thing that every private health company/doctor's office have you sign so that they can share your health data files however they want.
- jka 5y agoSounds like you're fortunate enough to be in a country where you get to be shown a contractual agreement and are able to make a decision regarding data-sharing before proceeding (as long as you take the time to read the small print).
- tormock 5y agonobody reads it, because at the same time, they have you sign 5 other forms that have so much text that you would miss your appointment if you read them
