Why not use worldwide stats? Self driving cars will take many years to propagate to all the worlds cars (which will eventually happen), but it still holds true, if it takes 5 extra years that is 7 million deaths
Also, traffic related injuries and deaths have been rising in recent years due to distracted driving
- hef19898 5y agoOne, deaths are measured per driven mile, they are a relatibe stat not an absolute one. Two, driving conditions have to factor in to make it comparable, including traffic deaths in Africa and India (global) is kind of pointless Three, I'd like a source that per driven mile injuries and deaths are rising, all numbers I know of show the opposite trend (including pedestrians and cyclists).
