The Anonymous collective has leaked the database of Nestlé. Leaked 10GB data
- adwi 5y agoWhy?
- nprz 5y agoBecause they still do business in Russia.
- sschueller 5y agoThe sanctions don't block this. They block financial transactions. If Nestlé can operate in Russia autonomously I don't see an issue. The goal of the sanctions is to punish Putin and his close friends, not the entire Russian population that may already be living paycheck to paycheck.
- peakaboo 5y agoNestle is probably the most evil company in the world though. https://medium.com/fuck-niches/nestle-the-most-evil-company-in-the-world-7bf8ae47172e https://medium.com/fuck-niches/nestle-the-most-evil-company-...
- sschueller 5y agoThat is definitely true and Russia would be better of without the Nestlé baby formula.
- jeffwask 5y agoIf not the worst, they are def top 10.
- mxmilkiib 5y agoMark Thomas Comedy Product episode from 20 years ago; https://youtube.com/watch?v=lBTj9cy3Uug https://youtube.com/watch?v=lBTj9cy3Uug Have been trying not to buy Nestlé since seeing that.
- ashwagary 5y agoNestle was evil for decades, Anonymous seems quite useless if it's only acting due to recent Russia news. So any evil corp that cuts off business with Russia gets a pass?
- cyanydeez 5y agoPunishing Putin includes detailing his supporters.
- supergirl 5y agohow does stopping selling food in russia punish putin exactly? he’ll just have to switch to eating only the finest caviar domestically sourced instead of cereals? I find it morally questionable that all these corps stopped business in Russia. like Western Union. how does blocking payments between relatives punish Putin or force him to change course? if anything, all these punishments will unite all Russians behind Putin
- sfe22 5y agoPutin represents the Russian people just like Biden the Americans. How he got there is irrelevant, he represents and owns Russia/Russians, and they are fine with it. They chose authoritarianism and got a questionable tyrant. Now they gotta deal with it.
- supergirl 5y agoRussians have hardship engrained. War is always a fear for them because of what theu’ve been through in WW2. They will not renounce Putin so easily because they believe him when he says this is to avoid a bigger war with NATO
- mint2 5y agoDoing his best to start a war with nato short of literally attacking nato is a weird way to avoid a war with nato. I’m not convinced Putin cares much whether there is a war with nato. Nato is only an issue to modern Russia due to Putin’s ingrained confrontational attitude towards nato from the Cold War but more so his liberal use of nato and the west as a foil to maintain his domestic power.
- unmole 5y ago> Nato is only an issue to modern Russia due to Putin’s ingrained confrontational attitude towards nato from the Cold War There's no moral justification for what's happening in Ukraine but pretending that expansion of NATO doesn't pose a strategic risk for Russia is intellectually dishonest.
- tsol 5y agoSo is there anything useful in this? I see these dumps of big corporate data every so often, and so far I haven't seen anything materialize from them.
