Wait a second...
So is this another KeePass fork, and is different from this one:
https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/keepassx https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/keepassx ?
- Iolaum 5y agoKeePassXC is a fork of KeePassX, which is a fork of KeePass. There are some small differences between the projects in technical aspects but I don't fully recall the details. The C in KeePassXC stands for community IRC. Subjectively I 'd say that if you are wondering which of the 3 to use, go with KeePassXC. That's what I am using.
- phoerious 5y agoKeePassX was abandoned years ago, which is why KeePassXC exists. KeePass is a different product and more like the original inspiration for KeePassX/XC.
- laurent123456 5y agoKeePassX wasn't a fork of KeePass since one was developed in Qt, the other in .NET. It was just a compatible program.
- k8sToGo 5y agoOriginally, they wanted to merge KeepassXC back to KeepassX, but that idea got tossed.
