Work at a bank. Microservices have allowed replacement as tech preferences or performance requirements have changed. I haven’t always liked the changes but they were enabled by the architecture. Can shift one service at a time, run both, leave some services alone, no dependency. Note: lots of systems, lots of technologies, from SAP to Rust. Not all microservice by a long shot but those have worked pretty well.
