- darrenf 5y agoI am serious. I live in the town where he lived, walk past his grave frequently, and drink in the pub (The Cricketers, Farncombe) where he worked as landlord. The other Caesar has no such presence in my daily life!
- abalaji 5y agoWell, I'll be--that's definitely fair enough!
- B1FF_PSUVM 5y ago> The other Caesar has no such presence in my daily life! Apart from having set up the modern calendar (slightly adjusted in the XVII century) and having a whole month named after him, and a few other minor things such as the original conquest of Britain ... "... what have the Romans done for us?"
- cardiffspaceman 5y ago"All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?” “Brought peace.” “Oh. Peace? Shut up" Are there not vestiges of these things in modern UK today or at least England?
- exdsq 5y agoNot in the North, no.
