Digital photos are inherently computational, I think the distinction is where you stop processing and how much human control is exercised over the final product. Even film has some carefully developed characteristics that are used by the the photographer and developer to influence the image. I love the full spectrum of it, from my DSLR to my iPhone. I'd love to see camera companies embrace the ability to capture the raw data to make deeper processing available and to open up the pipeline and let me tweak to my preference.
