Exactly! My first thought was "why are there any dogs at the doctor's office at all?" I've always loved dogs but I'll probably never have one again, because people in my family are allergic. Their right to breathe outranks my desire to keep an animal in the house/office/etc. The dogs in the article at least appear to be isolated from patients, but I hope similar consideration is given to lab workers (no pun intended) who may be allergic.
